Shropshire marketing agency Adfield Group has teamed up with veterinary equipment supplier Technik to raise donations for a local dog charity. Picking up on the Valentine’s Day theme, the support campaign has been dubbed ‘Share the Love’ and sees the campaign drumming up much-needed support for Hilbrae Rescue Kennels, a Cold Hatton-based charity that provides shelter for stray and unwanted dogs from all over Shropshire.
In the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, employees at Adfield and Technik were encouraged to donate essential items to help the charity continue offering its vital services. Donors contributed a wide variety of items, including bedding, washing detergent and food, while others chose to offer generous monetary donations. All contributions were delivered to Hilbrae Rescue Kennels on 14th February.
The ‘Sharethe Love’ campaign is the latest in a long line of charitable initiatives Adfield has participated in. The third-generation family-run business has a rich history of supporting charities, having raised funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and Beckbury Village Hall. Joining forces with Technik to collect donations for Hilbrae has enabled Adfield to further its ambition of strengthening community ties and making a positive impact on important causes.
Adfield’s Telesales and Telemarketing Manager Charlotte Burgess-Bate, who played a key role in launching the campaign, commented: “At Adfield, we are passionate about giving back to the local community. Hilbrae Rescue Kennels is a charity with a fantastic reputation for rescuing and rehoming Shropshire’s most vulnerable dogs, and we are proud to support such a worthy cause.”
She continued: “So many stray and unwanted dogs are not given the care they need, and in many cases, they are put down through no fault of their own. Through our ‘Share the Love’ donation drive, we aim to help the Hilbrae team in their mission to save as many dogs as possible.”
Adfield’s collaboration with Technik aligns with its strategic objective to build closer relationships with local companies. With decades of experience in manufacturing hygienic equipment for the animal welfare sector, Technik provides its clients with expertly designed animal housing, veterinary equipment and hydrotherapy treadmills. Given its stellar reputation among the veterinary community, Technik proved to be Adfield’s ideal fundraising partner.
David Newall, Head of Veterinary and Charities at Technik, spoke enthusiastically about the campaign. Having previously held senior roles at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Dogs Trust and Cats Protection, David has been involved in the veterinary charity sector for more than 20 years.
He said: “We are thrilled to join Adfield in raising donations for Hilbrae Rescue Kennels, a charity whose purpose is to find new homes for abandoned and unwanted dogs. We are dedicated to supporting animal welfare initiatives, and that’s why we were delighted to take part in the ‘Share the Love’ campaign.
“Our four-legged friends are there for us during the best and worst of times, providing loving and loyal companionship. It is heartbreaking to think that so many are denied the care and shelter they deserve. We hope our contributions will give Hilbrae Rescue Kennels’ dogs the chance to find new owners and enjoy healthy, happy lives.”
With a team of highly experienced animal welfare professionals, Hilbrae has been providing care and shelter for dogs in need for many years. As well as its charitable arm Hilbrae Rescue Kennels (Charity number: 1153751), the family-owned organisation also operates a business called Hilbrae Pet’s Hotel that offers pet boarding services.
